Proprietary graphics drivers coexisting with libgl?

Is there anyway to have proprietary graphics driver packages (e.g. nvidia, catalyst, ...) coexist with the libgl package and other proprietary graphics driver packages?

This would come in handy for live systems that may need to have all drivers installed to work correctly on different machines without the need for additional configuration by a user.

Any suggestions are appreciated.
