I am using brasero (gtk application)- working very well here - just remember to:
>> To enable libburn backend you need to activate it in GConf:
>> /apps/brasero/config/libburn_burn
>> /apps/brasero/config/libburn_iso
I hope it will help.

brasero doesn't burn DVD-Video, just DVD data projects
the only apps i've found that burn DVD-Video projects are nerolinux (horrible and not-free) and k3b (very good software, but it isn't gtk

Hey,
Have you tried DeVeDe? it is in the community repository. It is not the last version though.
I'm also looking for one DVD video burner, hope it works.

from memory i once used some combination of devede (gtk)-- dvdstyler (wxsvg) and dvd95 (gtk)
it was a long time ago when i did it so i cant recall exactly how i used them (there may have been, some, alcohol consumed between now and then).... but i hope that gets you on the right track.

i think dvd-video support has been already added to brasero svn or at least is a target for the next release. not sure if it's already in though, but you might want to try the svn version. it's in aur.
