Blacklist module in HAL?

How can I blacklist a module so that HAL will not auto-load it. I have added it to MOD_BLACKLIST in /etc/rc.conf but HAL thinks it's clever and loads it anyway.

Ignore stupid me... forgot to remove it from MODULES ;-)
