No splashy logo, when I shutdown

Whenever I shutdown I do not see the splashy logo (only on boot do I see it).
I use poweroff and shutdown -Ph 0 to turn of my system.
Any ideas?
Thanks

At the moment this is by design.  From what I understand, the arch initscripts do not yet support a means of running a bootsplash at shutdown, because like all other processes, the bootsplash daemon is killed.
