Desktop Optimization for GNOME

Hi,

I've searched the forum but it seems like this hasn't been posted yet.

There's a tiny collection of scripts called Desktop Optimization at gnomefiles.org (http://gnomefiles.org/app.php/Desktop_Optimization) that cleans up XML config files speeding up loading stuff in GNOME.

I've tried

gconf-optimize
gnome-optimize

and the start up of GNOME (after GDM login) is considerably faster (especially loading panel applets).

I just thought this might be interesting since it's a big improvement with almost no effort. Sorry if this has been posted already.
