You didn't happen to encrypt your /boot partition did you?

Re: Grub Grub Grub Grub <<< this is the error

No.

I encrypted only sda2 swap; sda3 root; sda4 home

I set up the mountpoints and sda1 is listed in fstab

Re: Grub Grub Grub Grub <<< this is the error

Does the word "grub" fill your whole screen? this happened to me on a recent install. I'm not sure what I did to fix it, but the steps I took were to...

1.) use a different cd/dvd rom drive
2.) use a different hard drive
3.) download the latest arch core .iso and reburn as slow as possible

I'm pretty sure it was #3 that solved it for me. I made it through an install with some weird errors, then grub freaked out. I just did another install with the "better" disk and it worked.

Hope that helps, but it might be useless.

Re: Grub Grub Grub Grub <<< this is the error

This happened to me, too.

All I did was change the boot order of hard drives in BIOS and that fixed it.

i.e.

My first order was:
Seagate hard drive (1 partition, Windows only)
Hitachi hard drive (4 partitions, Arch, grub installed on this hard drives mbr)

Swapped them boot order:
Hitachi hard drive
Seagate hard drive

Worked. Not sure what boot order in BIOS has to do with grub but it was an easy fix.
