With Avidemux2, I'm able to scan through a video manually, but when I try playing it, the program crashes. All packages on my system are current. I was able to play videos without sound before configuring sound. I have no problems with video playback in other applications. The only cause I can think of is installing XFCE4 to try it out. I have uninstalled it since, but that did not fix the problem. I'm open to any suggestions you guys may have, thanks in advance. Oh, and I'm using Gnome 2.6.
Here's the error I'm receiving when trying to play a video in Avidemux:
--------------------------------------------------------------
Xv YV12 found at port :69, format : 842094169
Xv init succeedeed
Using xv
The program 'avidemux2' received an X Window System error.
This probably reflects a bug in the program.
The error was 'BadAlloc (insufficient resources for operation)'.
(Details: serial 34362 error_code 11 request_code 140 minor_code 19)
(Note to programmers: normally, X errors are reported asynchronously;
that is, you will receive the error a while after causing it.
To debug your program, run it with the --sync command line
option to change this behavior. You can then get a meaningful
backtrace from your debugger if you break on the gdk_x_error() function.)
