Hello dear users,
I have recently installed arch64 and i wanted to install flashplayer since opera needs it...
I knew the problems that exist in flash and arch and i read a bit to see if now it is possible..
From what I have read so far I have seen nowhere someone who installed it and it worked...flashplugin is not working and also nspluginwrapper is in the aur and it causes problems...
does anybody know if it is fixed or does he know any webpage where it was fixed?
please help me if so...

I use flash plugin for firefox on Arch64. I can't say for opera, I have never used that browser before.
depends on your needs, but there is alternatives. swfdec is one of those alternatives, but its not perfect.

I am using nspluginwrapper from the AUR (nspluginwrapper and nspluginwrapper-flash) with firefox in Arch64 and I have no issues. I remember there was a dependency I had to add by hand when I did the makepkg, just watch for an error message.

If you're talking about Opera, please remember that the issue is on Opera's side (as well as Konqueror's, but there is kmplayer for a good and permanent workaround). Their frameworks have to be updated to tango with the new flash. That has been done in the version of opera now in testing.
I need real, proper pen and paper for this.

I had firefox as well so I ll have to compromise with installing flash in firefox.
The way to do this is in this page http://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Ins … _on_Arch64 but you will have to replace (as colnago remarked)
#makepkg -i
with
#makepkg -i --asroot
thanks guys
