wakealarm[nvm]

I've spent the last couple hours screwing around with wakealarm, and for the life of me I couldn't get it working. This got me thinking, what if the manufacturer didn't include all the leap years from 70 up until the starting date in the motherboard bios? Has anyone heard of anything like this, or is it more likely my bios/config is crap?

Edit- Welp, for whatever reason tagging eight hours (PST) onto the shutdown command is not equivalent to having the bios set to UTC.
