REQUEST: swfdec 0.5.90

http://lists.freedesktop.org/archives/s … 01206.html It needs the development version of libsoup..

Re: REQUEST: swfdec 0.5.90

This is a difficult request. From http://www.nabble.com/libsoup-2.4-branc … 47921.html

I've filed bugs in bugzilla with patches for bug-buddy, evolution,
evolution-data-server, evolution-exchange, evolution-webcal, gtkhtml,
libepc, rhythmbox, seahorse, and swfdec. (I forgot gvfs because it
didn't have a libsoup dependency yet when I first made my list, but I'll
fix that.) But anyway, expect jhbuild to be broken for a bit.

What's not mentioned here is that glib needs to be upgraded also. This is a major package that has many dependencies. All of these upgrades are going into Gnome 2.22. The first RC is expected later this month.

Like you, I'm also wanting to do this.

Well, looks like swfdec won't be upgraded before Gnome 2.22.0 is released. Not a good news, but at least, we know how many time we will have to wait wink

Re: REQUEST: swfdec 0.5.90

The RC is due on the 27th, so it won't be long.

A month before Gnome 2.22.0 and this *censored* pulse-audio ? wink

/me hopes pulse-audio won't be a pain to setup and also gnome-system-tools for x86_64 going back to community wink
