Virtualization on 64bit hosts

VMware and VirtualBox both support AMD64 architectures, but i'm not entirely sure whether this is limited to only 64bit CPU's made by AMD. I have an Intel Core 2 Duo on my laptop, and i'm just wondering whether this is supported by either VMware or VirtualBox.

Thanks.

Re: Virtualization on 64bit hosts

Virtualbox works fine here under Arch64 with a Core2Duo.

Re: Virtualization on 64bit hosts

Thanks! I was thinking that i'd have to wait until the architecture was supported.

Confusing how they say AMD64 instead of x86_64
