kernel 2.6.24-2 broke arch in VMware (xp host)
Any one else having problems with the new 2.6.24-2 update?
2.6.24-1 worked fine. Problems:
-building kernel (hangs at module dependencies), in other cases (guests)
-starting X and
-powering off.

Somehow I managed to get it (new install) working again. It had troubles at first but changing a few permissions and installing different DE's did the trick.
