System fans and kernel 2.6.24

Hi,
Upgraded to 2.6.24 yesterday. One or more of the fans in my system appears to be running faster (more noise). It started as soon as I re-booted into the new kernel. I have an MSI board with and NVidia graphics card (The card has an onboard fan).  Anyone else experienced this??

Thanks

I've experienced the same thing, but the problem only started when I installed the new Nvidia drivers from Nvidia directly.  I was getting segfaults with the arch bundled ones.

Not sure what to make of it yet.

Interesting. When I ran Pacman -Suy it pulled the kernel and the nvidia drivers from the repo. I wonder if it's something in the nvidia driver.

It installed nvidia 169.09-2 and nvidia-utils 169.09-1
