kernel 2.6.24.1-2 BUG: soft lockup

Hello! I upgraded my laptop to 2.6.24.1-2 in core this morning. Now I have kernel.log full of these messages:

Feb 12 18:01:25 eaglenest BUG: soft lockup - CPU#0 stuck for 11s! [swapper:0]

I have an ATI x700 video card and a turion64 on x200 chipset. I use catalyst drivers so my kernel is tainted ;-)
This problem never came up with kernel 2.6.23.
When CPU stuck I can only hard reboot the pc.
How can I solve this problem?

I downgraded to 2.6.23.14-1 and the problem disappeared.
Nobody has any ideas?

did you rebuild your catalyst? if you are using a custom kernel.. just wondering.

I don't use a custom kernel. I installed the catalyst from extra and when I upgraded to 2.6.24 pacman upgraded catalyst as well. Thanks for your reply!

Next chapter... I compiled and installed latest kernel26 from abs for Opteron/K8 processor type instead of Pentium Pro. Next I compiled catalyst catalyst-utils for the new kernel and now all goes well and there isn't any BUG: soft lockup in log.
Perhaps, maybe this a problem like http://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?id=43817 ?
