Compiz Installed, questions about KDEMod and speed

Alright I got Compiz-Fusion installed alright, but I'm having afew issues.

First, it seems very slow.  My laptop is top if the line, nVidia 8600m GT, 256mb GDDR3, 2 gb ram, Intel T7500 Santa Rosa chip, everything is as good as it gets for a 15.4'' laptop.  But when running compiz window resizing and moving jumps around alot and is really rough.  What gives?

Second, is there a way to use my default KDEMod theme with Compiz-Fusion?  I like the way the windows are decorated in KDEMod I just wanted the nice effects.

I don't know about the speed, but to use kde themes in compiz, you can run kde-window-decorator as your window decorator (instead of emerald, or whatever you run). It's in compiz-decorator-kde package.
