google earth not in repos anymore

How come google earth went into the repos for a day and then was taken out again?
I had google earth installed from aur and I was pretty surprised when I ran pacman -Syu on Feb.17th and it upgraded google earth (notice I was running pacman and not yaourt). So I figured it must've been in an official repository on that particular day and now (two days later) it's not anymore.
I don't consider myself a newbie, but since this is not exactly a package upgrade issue I didn't want to post this question in the package upgrade issues forum. I'm just asking out of curiosity, my guess would be that it was taken out of the repos again because of it's license.

Re: google earth not in repos anymore

You're right, it's an license issue.
The details can be found on the mailing list: http://archlinux.org/pipermail/aur-gene … 06996.html

Re: google earth not in repos anymore

We are not allowed to distribute Google Earth. Feel free to complain to google for crappy licensing.
