[SOLVED] setting up wireless, is this a bad sign?

bash-3.2$ iwconfig
lo no wireless extensions.

eth0 no wireless extensions.

I have an Intel wireless/PRO 2200 I think... works in ubuntu. i just can't figure out how to get the wireless work, ive read the wireless wiki and tried the guis.. grr.. rebooting... gonna see if ath0 interface pops up...

sv

edit:
and now this:

bash-3.2$ iwlist scan
lo Interface doesn't support scanning.

eth0 Interface doesn't support scanning.

and

[root@arch net]# ifconfig /proc/net/wireless
/proc/net/wirel: error fetching interface information: Device not found

humdinger!  : /
