iDesk + good panel?

hi, just checkin where's a good howto for iDesk? i want to see Desktop icons :'( in openbox
and:
whats the fastest loading panel in the house currently? one that perhaps has a gui for configuring actually... so not that fast...

bmpanel looks really promising and is easy to configure. Pypanel and fbpanel are both pretty good as well.

I guess you could use gnome-panel and xfce-panel as well.

As always with linux, the possibilities are numerous.

I am not sure about the panel since I haven't use one in a while, I do have a vague memory that Lxpanel was configured with a gui.
