Hi I just reinstalled Arch Don't Panic after about a couple months and I ran into these problems I'll describe. BEFORE I HAD
sda1 NTFS 8 MB (MBR)
sda2 ARCH Linux
sda3 Swap
sdb1 windows
and everything worked out but now I did this
sda1 /boot
sda2 NTFS
sdb1 Linux 28 GB
sdb2 Swap 2 GB
when I dual booted back into Windows my NTFS partition was hidden and I had to use my Partition Magic boot disks to reunhide it. Is there a command in grub that can unhide the partition I think it's probably "unhide" but I mite of put it on the wrong line or something. Also when I tryed to reinstall my video driver "xf86-video-ati" it was working like it was before. Was there a rerealease in the last month or so of something. Well if anyone knows the answer I'd appriciate it , Thanks

I had to respond to my own post noone responded however since my post I noticed alot of people saying they were having trouble with numerous video drivers including ati. The new ati driver is not functional. The one before the update was working fine. People shouldn't have to do constant debugging to fix the problem. I mite have to check out the ati website and find the propierty driver from source. Or if someone could please help with this problem. Alot of people are missing out on there favorite Linux.

This is step by step instructions on package building the catalyst propriety ati driver not the open source version but the real good version. The site mentions that the pacman version currently isn't quite up to par.

I don't want to sound to condescending I have found Arch to be the most compatible Linux. However a few things after about mid January after a reinstall I lost my video driver and now I can't get sound going I guess this is the pains of updating.
