So I have started seeing hitches in performance now when playing WoW with wine. I've done this successfully for years with arch (with of course a few hiccups along the way with wine and WoW). However, I took a few months off, and now trying to come back something has changed and performance isn't too good.
If I watch top, when that hitch happens, the process is listed as 'T' (traced or stopped) during that period. The WoW.exe process gets no CPU for that second or so.
I do have kernel26-2.6.24.1 installed and I'm pretty much fully upgraded.
Does anyone know what might be causing this? Could it be a difference in the kernel scheduler? I backed up to an older wine but unfortunately I cleared my cache in early January so I can't go back to the version I was using before then, only back as far as 0.9.50 (0.9.53 is what I currently have).
Anyone else see this problem?
