Gnome Seems to Think Firefox is... Somewhere Else

I'm trying to start Firefox from Gnome, and it seems to think that firefox is in /opt/mozilla/bin, although I know this changed recently. I've run (from / ) sudo find | cat | grep "/opt/mozilla" with these results:

./opt/mozilla
./opt/mozilla/lib
./opt/mozilla/lib/plugins
./opt/mozilla/lib/plugins/libjavaplugin_oji.so
./opt/mozilla/lib/plugins/gxineplugin.so

So it's not finding any files with that phrase. Gnome, however, still seems to think that it should start /opt/mozilla/bin/firefox. What's going on?

I'm just taking a wild guess, but have you restarted gnome?

Some enviroment variables (PATH) may cause this.

% cat signature
cat: signature: Permission denied

Re: Gnome Seems to Think Firefox is... Somewhere Else

For future reference, there was a file referring to firefox in /usr/share/applications, but there was one in ~/.local/share/applications that was overriding it. Deleting firefox.desktop in ~/.local/share/applications fixed the problem.
