[solved] i can't rip ONE cd with cdparanoia or cdda2wav.

hi.

i would really appreciate your help:
here is the problem:
i tried to rip a cd with kaudiocreator. it does not work.
i found those errors in /var/log/messages.log

Feb 27 20:34:23 soho sg_write: data in/out 30576/30576 bytes for SCSI command 0xbe--guessing data in;
Feb 27 20:34:23 soho program kio_audiocd not setting count and/or reply_len properly

and i am not alone: i found that bug report http://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=138511

i tried with cdparanoia-10pre0. still no. i have'nt got any error in messages.log this time but the rip does not work or is so slow it might last 2 days. even with the svn version.

i tried with another GUI : grip. the same

i tried with the other command line ripping tool cdda2wav

it does not work either i got :
cdda2wav: Operation not permitted. cannot set posix realtime scheduling policy
percent_done:
  0%
and it stays at 0%

Help !

i use arch64 and a sata DVD writer.
may be i miss a configuration to work around some kernel lock or bug ?

sure kde (3.5.8) is shit. kscd does not even work here because i lack the cable to allow me to play digitally CD.

ooops it's only ONE cd that does not work.

it isn't a DRM cd or a protected one. i can't see anything on the box or the cd that say its protected. too bad.

sorry /o\
