rtorrent not announcing on quit

When I quit rtorrent with control+q it doesn't announce a proper "stop" to the trackers. I can see the message "Inactive: Tracker[0:0]: Connecting to http://tracker...." but when I check the profiles of the trackers I'm using the torrents are still listed.
The solution provided here didn't help (stty stop undef and stty start undef). I also tried running it without screen, same result.

I'm using rtorrent 0.7.9/0.11.9
Here is my .rtorrent.rc: http://pastebin.ca/923354

Edit:
http://libtorrent.rakshasa.no/ticket/1064
it's a known bug
I found this command as a workaround: d.multicall=started,d.stop= and d.multicall=stopped,d.start= (Press ctrl+x to get into command mode)

Re: rtorrent not announcing on quit

are you sure the tracker's webpage automatically updates the tracker status? especially on large trackers, that could be very strenuous for the servers.

Re: rtorrent not announcing on quit

I'm positive it's an issue with rtorrent, didn't have this problem with other clients. But given how often I have to restart my server it's no big deal.
