my rtorrent is not doing the "auto-watch-a-folder" trick and i am at a loss to figure out why... here is the relevant section of my .rtorrent.rc :

# Watch a directory for new torrents, and stop those that have been
# deleted.
schedule = watch_directory,5,5,load_start=/home/USER/torrents/torrentfiles/*.torrent

schedule = untied_directory,5,5,stop_untied=/home/USER/torrents/torrentfiles

the directory points to the right spot... and other settings are followed, so i know that the file is being read, it just isn't working for some reason

any ideas?

Is your username USER or did you just change it to that for the fourm?

nevermind.. it was a foolish mistake on my part.
I have looked over that line many many times and only just now realized that i was missing one of the subdirectories
