Alternative to Bashpodder?

I've been using bashpodder on my server for ages, but recently some podcasts have started adding new features to their feeds resulting in loads of files I don't want being downloaded and bashpodder downloading podcasts i've already listened to. Is there any alternative which I can run as a daemon or in a cron job (python client?) which does the same kind of thing?

Thanks

Re: Alternative to Bashpodder?

I personally use podget and I have never had any problems with it.

Re: Alternative to Bashpodder?

Got podget installed now big_smile. It appears to do its job even better than bashpodder. However I would really like it if I could download my podcasts to one directory (my home directory) without all the categorisation; anyone know how to do it?

Re: Alternative to Bashpodder?

Sorry for bringing up an old thread, but I figured it could help somebody in the future.

To download all your podcasts to one dir just specify the same dir in your serverlist file.  Like so...

http://www.feedurl.com DLdirectory

It will then download into DLdirectory, inside whatever master directory you specified in your podgetrc file.
