Some people are creating browser games with silverlight instead of flash now.
Is it planned that moonlight (the open source silverlight implementation) will become a package for archlinux, similar to how flash is one?

From the moonlight web page
Currently Moonlight is not packaged as it is still under heavy development. In the future we will provide package repositories for all major distributions through the OpenSUSE Build Service (http://build.opensuse.org) as well as a Mozilla extension that will make the installation experience similar to the one that Windows and MacOS users have today.
It probably won't appear in Arch until an official release is made.
There is a svn package in AUR if you want to try it out. http://aur.archlinux.org/packages.php?ID=13235

But have to admit I'm little confused I thought it was extended to non-profit developers.

I have tired to build all the packages in aur, but mono-svn will not build so you cant do anything else. I tried to build from svn with the same results so something is wrong. I want to try moonlight with MLB.tv its to bad...
