Re: how to change xterm fonts?

xterm configuration is set in the ~/.Xdefaults file

xterm*faceName <your-font>:pixelsize=12

xterm may not like that font if it isn't monospace, btw.

I use (in .Xdefaults ):
xterm*font: -*-fixed-medium-r-*-*-14-*-*-*-*-*-*-*

I quite like ttf-inconsolata, a package in [community].

XTerm*faceName: inconsolata:pixelsize=14

Re: how to change xterm fonts?

I like to keep it simple:  xterm*font: 10x20
BTW, I also like a larger font as I'm a member of the over 50 club.

Re: how to change xterm fonts?

I'm also over 50, but I find terminus 12pt to be big enough.  Dina is nice, too, though a little smaller.  What bothers me most is contrast, so I use light gray on dark gray.

Can anyone point me to a pcf profont that's not broken for xft?  I wouldn't mind trying it on Sakura and GVim, but it shows up as little boxes.
