I'm not quite sure how this happened, but this directory disappeared! Noticed this when I started getting errors mounting a DVD complaining that there wasn't a /mnt/dvd to mount to.
Just want to check that 'mkdir /mnt/dvd' with the same ownershipd and access as /mnt/cdrom is a good enough solution? I can mount dvd's fine now, but just want to check that this isn't too hacky a way to fix this.
I don't think i'm gonna file this as a bug as there doesn't seem to be a way to reproduce this other than 'rm -R /mnt/dvd' I only reinstalled a day ago so i'm not sure if this was a problem with that install.

I don't think that there is any other way restore it
Just copying /mnt/cdrom to /mnt/dvd is a bit quicker than chmod --reference-file=/mnt/cdrom /mnt/dvd
The simplest explanation is that it probably wasn't created in the install.

CDs & DVDs have moved from /mnt to /media.
From my /etc/fstab:
/dev/dvd /media/dvd auto ro,user,noauto,unhide 0 0

Oops my bad. Thought the only change in the pacnew files was filesystem type to 'auto'.
Thanks! I take it I can delete the /mnt/cdrom that has been left there?
