Open Office Crashing [Solved]

After updating at the weekend openoffice now won't function and crashes with the less than helpful message

KCrash: Application 'soffice.bin' crashing...

Anyone have any ideas?

Start OpenOffice from command line "soffice" and watch if a helpfull message pops up.

Hi Andy,

Actually I was starting it from the command line - that's when I get this error message. No further clues I'm afraid.

I should say I've tried reinstalling openoffice-base but it made no difference...
