[SOLVED] How do i turn off my wireless card in archlinux?

It'll auto load in archlinux (which for general use is perfectly fine)

But how do I change it so that it will be disabled on command?

I am running a Thinkpad T61 and the bottom edge where there is a switch to disable all wireless should work... but it doesn't.

It would still connect ....

I am using the madwifi drivers

---

Thanks!

rmmod ath_pci or just ifconfig ath0 down  should work.
