XFCE broke the K Menu

Earlier today, I decided to give XFCE a try, and decided after about an hour not to continue using it.  So, I switched back to KDE, and I discovered that all of the entries in my K Menu were gone.  That is, all entries except for Run Command, Switch User, Lock Session, and Log Out.  How do I restore them, without manually recreating each and every entry?

Also, how do I restore the trash bin icon?

Re: XFCE broke the K Menu

It seems that XFCE has done more damage than I thought.  All of the entries in the KDE Control Center are missing as well, and I am betting that other things are missing too.
