Power off (init 0) reboot computer. rc.shutdown problem.

Hi,

I have a problem with my recent installed Arch Linux. When I call 'init 0' to turn off my laptop (directly or from kde) it get reboot.

I searched in the forums and net and found that this is a common problem, normally associated with acpi, but in my case I think this is associated with rc.shutdown. Let me describe my test case.

First I tried every combination of acpi boot flags I found to be related to my problem, the only change is that some of then don't power off or reboot but stop at the end of sequence (a know problem with my hp laptop turning acpi off).

Next I tried to change rc.shutdown to call directly /sbin/poweroff without checking for the runlevel, but it continues to reboot.

But if I change /etc/inittab to call /sbin/poweroff instead of rc.shutdown it successfully power off my computer, if I call poweroff directly from command line it power off too.

My kernel is 2.6.24-ARCH, my initscripts is 2008.03-3.

Someone have any clue about this issue?

Thanks!
