Hi,
I really liked Gigamo-s awesome here: http://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?id=44794&p=5 and I installed awesome 2.2 using abs yesterday:
$awesome -v
awesome (awesome) 2.2 ()
compiled at Mar 24 2008 01:21:25 for i686-pc-linux-gnu by gcc version 4.3.0 (root@a02-0613c)and when i tried Gigamo-s config:
/home/istvan/.awesomerc:13: no such option 'styles'
/home/istvan/.awesomerc:13: awesome: parsing configuration file /home/istvan/.awesomerc failed.if i remove those lines, there's still the style option little further:
/home/istvan/.awesomerc:109: no such option 'style'
/home/istvan/.awesomerc:109: awesome: parsing configuration file /home/istvan/.awesomerc failed. So after all my desktop doesn't look really awesome ![]()
Is there something extra I have to install to get it working?

You need to use the git version of awesome for my config to work.
git clone git://git.naquadah.org/awesome.git && cd awesome && ./autogen.shand then compile, or install awesome-git from the AUR.

Thanks, it's working now.
BTW is it possible to limit mpd widgets text for let's say 30 character, so longer song titles won't hide my other widgets?

try putting a width on your mpd textbox.

thank's, that kinda solved it... i wish it had dynamic length, but I think that's too much to ask ![]()

Are your configs still supposed to work?

He hoped and prayed that there wasn't an afterlife. Then he realized there was a contradiction involved here and merely hoped that there wasn't an afterlife.

his configs are based off awesome version 3, so you would need to install awesome3-git.
