help installing gnome

when i do pacman -S gnome gnome-extra i get:

resolving dependencies...
error: cannot resolve "mono-addins>=0.3.1", a dependency of "tomboy"
error: failed to prepare transaction (could not satisfy dependencies)
:: tomboy: requires mono-addins>=0.3.1

i installed it and still get the same error, any ideas?

Re: help installing gnome

Are you usre you have installed the right version?

You can always force the installation, ignoring the dependencies, with a pacman -Sd

Re: help installing gnome

Looks like you're trying to install from testing, perhaps something wasn't synced up, or you didn't intend to do that in the first place. Try pacman -Sy gnome-extra to sync things up first. Alternatively, remove the testing repo from your pacman config.

Also, you should never, ever, ever, ever have to force packages or ignore dependencies. only do that if you know what you're doing

The suggestion box only accepts patches.
