compiz-fusion nvidia jerkyness

Hi - I am new to arch linux, and so far am very impressed.

I installed the nvidia drivers and compiz-fusion as per the instructions on the wiki. Compiz works, but is rather unsmooth. I also have compiz-fusion installed on a old compaq laptop with a ATI mobility 7500 radeon, and it is running very smoothly. This is a new thinkpad with a nVidia 570m graphics card.

Glxgears gives me ~5200fps, so I definitely have 3D acceleration enabled. Is there some sort of option I need to enable in xorg.conf?

You can also try to use "Loose Binding" in Compiz Options (right click fusion-icon).

Maybe a small performance improvement. Still not ideal.

Re: compiz-fusion nvidia jerkyness

Those extra options do not help.

NoOneImportant: I'm using very few plugins anyway. Move, place, decoration, workarounds, minimize, png, regex, fade, core, resize, expo, dbus, switcher, and scale. Setting the texture filter to fast didn't do anything noticeable.
