wine performance

It's normal that, from games that I use with wine, I get worse performance respect when I run them from windows?

yes I mean lower fps rate.
I use a 8800gts with 320mb, and driver nvidia 169.12
the test for this game (perfect world) in the appdb doesn't give performance issue, then this problem is dued to driver?

Lower performace is related to working compiz. If you use compiz, try game/3d apps without it. In other cases maybe it's driver fault or incorrect xorg config.

but for compiz, _Just swith window manager from the fusion icon, or close it completely with fusion-icon?

Just switch by fusion icon. My glxgears results (FX5500):

1. Compiz: 3304 frames in 5.0 seconds = 658.812 FPS
2. Metacity: 12258 frames in 5.0 seconds = 2451.593 FPS
