problem with cpufrequtils

hello,
when i try cpufreq-info (after using modprobe and so on..) it tells me that the only available cpufreq governors is "performance".. i have an athlon64 x2 4400.. what can i do? can i use "ondemand" also if it's not on the list? i don't want to break my cpu..

You have to load the modules first.
