Very stupid idea to use german language for a world archlinux site !!!
I'm FRENCH so why don't use french language ?
Now Archlinux is becoming a german linux distribution ... because a lot of people don't speak german !
Are you mad ? or it's a 1/4 joke ?

You were never a true Archer. The German Way is the Arch Way. The Arch way is the German Way. There is no difference, they are the one and the same!

Dear moustic,
I am french too and I understand your opinion.
But be positive :
I took this as an opportunity to start learning german.
Come on : you drive german cars, you use german home automation stuffs every day, why wouldn't you use a german Arch ?
German people live just next to us : their language must be at least as good as our, isn't it ?
Also you should be amazed by how easy it is to translate a whole application with Free Software tools such as gettext !
Seriously : don't you think it is marvelous to have a whole website translated from english to german during the night. I am sure it only required a single click from the website admin to do that ...
If you really cannot cope with this site in German, I will use my great notoriety for you and ask Phrakture to but it back in english.
Arch devs usually do what I want during the night so come back tomorrow and you will see I am not making fun of you ![]()
Cheers,
Chicha
Mandrake (2001) -> Debian (2002) -> Nasgaia (2003) -> LFS (2004) -> FreeBSD (2004) -> Gentoo (2005) -> Kubuntu (2006) -> Archlinux (2007) -> ?
Will Archlinux finally be THE distro of my dreams ? Time will say, but its on the way ![]()

Ich will Deutch lernen danke Arch ! Toll ! (Ich habe schon begonnen !)

Does this mean that from now on pacman will be called arkanoid?

I always loved the idea of having a distro without understanding anything of its Documentation...less painful
and you can always bypass the RTFM section...you just cant

Don't. Just don't do it.
There are people who seriously asked Germans "How's your Hitler doing?" in the mid-nineties, I hope your not of that kind.
P.S. Maybe you should consider changing the real name in your profile, too.

Nein, wir müssen nur die Schreibweise ändern. (We will only have to change the spelling)
