Idiots! C should be the official language of Arch, don't any of you know anything????
Now, seriously, for my yearly rant:
What?!?!? German? Oh please, come on I've been a big fan of Arch for years, but lately, I don't know, something's been different... I'd been thinking about switching distros anyway but this might finally be what makes up my mind. Wow I can't believe this is happening to me... What did I do to deserve this!
Oh and no, I _didn't_ fall for the flying penguins thing, but yes, I _did_ think it was cute...

Le français ça me va, c'est tellement plus simple que l'allemand ![]()
It's great to see that devs are open-minded and know there's valuable languages, other than English !

I was listening to a Kraftwerk CD when I arrived here just now. Coincidence or what? I'm off to raid the sparschwein for a new German dictionary

Sounds fair to me (as long as we don't switch to Xhosa or Quechua). That is the 12th of July, right? I also suggest (to be fair to everyone), that we do not switch back to US-american English before the 4th of July

Ich werde Englisch sprechen weil mein Deutsch ist nicht gut.
Switching to the language that's most represented by Archlinux users makes sense. I haven't seen as many German posts as English, but what do I know? If there really are more German users, switching to German is a good thing.
The AUR already has a way of changing the language, is it possible to extend this functionality to other parts of the site? Don't get me wrong, I know that would be a lot of work for new languages, but this site used to be in English, so that work has already been done.
Also, the archlinux.de site has existed independently of archlinux.org for some time and they are currently being merged. Does that mean archlinux.org will cease to exist and we will start using archlinux.de soon? I think have .org as the primary site is better as its more ubiquitous in free software. If you are open to having multiple sites... maybe an archlinux.uk or en.archlinux.org or something would be an acceptable secondary site for English archers?
If you don't look into these solutions and community projects don't either, I am happy using this site as the layout is what I'm familiar with... I don't actually READ the labels... it works like any other forum... it comes naturally.
Just please don't do anything stupid like translating every English wiki article to German then deleting the English version or changing the names of too many packages and binaries.

According to your profile you haven't been here a year ago, around the same date, have you?
Dammit, haven't been here in a while. Still rocking Arch. ![]()

We'll change it to french on Bastille Day, sound fair?
Concordo, se no dia 10 de Junho mudarem o layout para português (Ibérico, claro está)!

I'll translate this tomorrow ;)

You were never a true Archer. The German Way is the Arch Way. The Arch way is the German Way. There is no difference, they are the one and the same!
He should be thankful the switch isn't to Руский! Remember, in Soviet Russia, Arch uses the most competent Linux users.

... or look around for another distribution ... like I am doing right now...
You won't actually switch because of this, right? Do you know the bizarre custom that many celebrate on April 1st?
What? It changed my date into 'Oktoberfest'!
