Kernel Compile Freezes

Hi guys,
im just playing with compiling kernels, i already managed to compile a working one and run it (compiled traditional way not ABS)

After booting into this new kernel i tried to compile another new one.
But everytime i tried, it seemed like it froze around the char devices/driver or something.

Ive booted back into the stock arch kernel and now its compiling fine (so far).

Is there anything that might be causing this?
The only thing i did to the new kernel was install the NVIDIA drivers.
