i play alot of strategy games and some of them require me to run them with a virtual desktop (tiberium wars) and even though i have it set to allow directX to stop mouse leaving window it still leaves makes no difference if i run compiz or not so i was wondering if there is a program or script i could use that would confine the pointer to a certain area of the screen or since im running two screens one of them

Just out of curiosity are you using and ATI card or an nvidia, if your using the first changing to an nvidia card might fix your problem. Not sure if this is the solution you are looking for but you could also try running wine in another X session running at the same res as the game thus simulating the fullscreen experience kinda.

If hes using ATI and switches to nvidia this wont make a difference, as i currently use an nvidia card and have the same problem
