archlinux sightings

hey everybody ..  i was watching one of my favorite revision3 podcasts the other night when I was surprised to see that, in a segment about showing off different FTP clients for Windows, the host was actually logging on to ftp.archlinux.org tongue

you need to d/l the HD podcast to be able to see http://www.podtrac.com/pts/redirect.mov … d.h264.mov ... they even pause a second as the second host asks "'where are you logging on to by the way ??"

so I guess rev3's Roger Chang is among us - good to know tongue

you all might wanna check out their work too, it's good stuff, and it's what all tv's gonna be like sooner or later.

it got me thinkin, if anyone else ever spots archlinux out there 'in the wild', maybe they could tell about it here. It doesn't strike me as likely, but ya never know ..

Re: archlinux sightings

I saw that watching tekzilla this evening. Pretty cool although he said it was 'some college ftp site' so it seems likely he just picked a linux distro at random.

Re: archlinux sightings

In the march issue of Linux Format Arch Linux gets a brief "review", which concludes that if you use man more than mouse Arch Linux is for you. It seems that they didn't even try to install Arch.

Silly if you ask me ...
