I am using KDE and already set the screen saver be run after 5 minutes, but it never run and the system never shutdown monitor too.

The commnad "pacman -Q|grep xscreen" cannot find xscreensaver. So it's not installed? Right click KDE desktop and "Configure Desktop" and then click "screen saver" will show a lot of screen savers, should I still need to install xscreensaver? ...

yes, you need xscreensaver --- the kde list of screensavers is more or less a frontend to xscreensaver ... only some of them are really kde-screensavers

thanks, after pacman xscreensaver, i can test the screen savers now, but it never automatically start - I set 5 minutes in KDE... Did I missed any steps?
