Gnome 2.22, D-Bus, testing

Testing has had a lot of problems recently. D-Bus has to be stopped/restarted manually on each reboot, and even within the desktop environment it seems that D-Bus fails to allow things to talk ... my volume keys and volume applet don't work right now, most of the applets I have on my gnome-panels crash (workspace switcher crashes all the time, window list has to be readded all the time though it doesn't ever crash, just quits working), Nautilus doesn't reflect my volumes properly even with HAL up and running and occasionally requires manual restart of both HAL and Nautilus to detect anything, etc. Most of these problems _didn't_ materialize immediately upon upgrading to Gnome 2.22, but some have, and things seem much less stable after running Compiz Fusion from openbox-gnome-session.

Ctrl+Alt+F1 to the terminal where X is running reflect a bunch of D-Bus errors from gnome-panel: ** (gnome-panel:4798) : ** Warning: Exception from popup_menu `IDL:omg.org/CORBA/COMM_FAILURE:1.0`. Please fix D-Bus or whatever is causing these problems, because it sucks and causes a lot of problems.

Additionally, kernel update apparently wasn't accompanied by madwifi update, and I had to hook up laptop through crossover cable, download madwifi tarball, and compile and install this thing to get it working again. This sucked. fyi.
