TV-turer for linux ??

Im going to buy a TV-card to use with Arch, and wanted to know which one
is the more Linux friendly. I used to have a card with the Philips saa7134 chip and worked flawlessly.
Any suggestions ?

Hi,
linuxtv.org might help you finding your tv-tuner.
There is a list of supported devices in the dvb/v4l wiki.
Good luck,
Fabian

Re: TV-turer for linux ??

What kind of card are you wanting to buy? There are cards that have an encoder on board (such as the Hauppage PVR cards), then there are the HD cards, and the good ol' analog cards (cheapest). I myself have 2 analog bttv-based cards that work with the bttv driver. I am waiting for the digital transition to shake out next year before I upgrade.
