Kiba-dock - getting it from the AUR problems... Help!

http://aur.archlinux.org/packages.php?O … _Search=Go

I'm trying to get Kibadock, What should I do to get those from the AUR? They keep giving me errors, not in database.

Re: Kiba-dock - getting it from the AUR problems... Help!

Pacman does not install packages from aur. You could add the archlinuxfr repo to /etc/pacman.conf

[archlinuxfr]
Server = http://repo.archlinux.fr/i686

Then install yaourt. Yaourt searches aur and builds and installs those packages if needed. Please be aware that AUR packages are not official packages. Yaourt is a cli pacman frontend with extended capabilities.

Alternatively download the tarball from aur and extract to a directory where you want to build the package. Run makepkg as normal user. This creates an installable pkg and install the package with pacman -U /path-to-package/package.
