XPDF Font-related Error Messages

Hey folks. This is a somewhat random question, but I tend to prefer things to run as warning-free (-ly?) as possible. Anyway, anytime I start xpdf I get the error...

Warning: Cannot convert string "-*-times-medium-r-normal--16-*-*-*-*-*-iso8859-1" to type FontStruct

...for some reason, even if it's a PDF I've just created that I know for a fact doesn't use Times. Any idea what's going on?

Thanks in advance!

Re: XPDF Font-related Error Messages

check the /etc/xpdfrc file. you have to edit it like this: http://www.foolabs.com/xpdf/problems.html#t1lib-base14

i still get font related warnings though.

There shouldn't be any reason to learn more editor types than emacs or vi -- mg (1)
