synaptics touchard & xorg-server 1.4

i can't conceive i'd be the only one with this problem but this is gonna be my 3rd time asking I think, so maybe ..

anyway, here i go again: something seems to have gotten broken when i upgraded to xorg-server 1.4, which uses synaptics 0.14.6.99-2 instead of 0.14.6-2 on xorg-server 1.2.

using 1.2 along with 0.14.6-2 works fine, however X seems to be unable to load the driver 0.14.6.99-2 in xorg-server 1.4 ...

anyway, it's annoying, as i have to withhold on upgrading xorg-server.
