Gnome has decided not to work

After typing this around five times (using LYNX), I finally have a topic!
I pacman -Syu'd and gnome went wonky. I rebooted. GDM fails with something about a greeter.
I can't get gnome to start even using startx -- it says something about some /tmp file

I can't get it to work with xdm

Thanks in advance,
majikstreet

Here in NZ we cant spell words with more than 5 letters. So color will have to do.

You must be very special then because "letters" has 7 tongue

Having the complete error messages would help a lot.

Re: Gnome has decided not to work

Aha!  Apparently it had something to do with not having enough space on /..
I cleaned pacman's cache and I was able to start gnome.
