ive used it since the early releases, can't even remember when ..
ive used and abused it, and it' hasn't screwed me yet.
if you wanna try it, go ahead,, you should prolly not do like me and run it on a production? system though.

Stable doesn't just mean working without any serious issues cropping up. They're still implementing major features in the file system. As it stands you can't expect it to behave quite the same way between kernel versions. That's not to say that you should avoid it all costs. If you really want to be on the cutting edge of ext4 development, the best way to check it out is to use it. But if you want an advanced filesysetm that's pretty much finished and intended for mass use, you've got better options in the kernel to pick from.

JFS has a big place in my heart. So does XFS. The later gaining more so simply because of how more widespread support seems to be.
